Sharing
Scramble Cloud offers robust and secure options for sharing your files and folders, ensuring that your data remains protected while facilitating collaboration.
Sharing with Scramble Users
To share files or folders with other Scramble Cloud users:
Right-Click to Share: Navigate to the desired file or folder within your Scramble Cloud Drive. Right-click on the item and select "Share" from the context menu.
Choose Contact: Select a Scramble contact. It is important that they are already friends with each other on Scramble. You can find out more about this in the “Friends” section.
Assign Permissions: In the sharing dialog, you can specify the users you wish to share with and assign appropriate access permissions:
Read-Only: Allows the recipient to view the content without making changes.
Full Access: Grants the recipient the ability to view, edit, and manage the content.
Manage Sharing: You can modify or revoke sharing permissions at any time, providing you with full control over your shared content. Simply click on “Leave Share” in your contact.
Sharing with Scramble Groups
To share files or folders with Scramble Cloud groups:
Right-Click to Share: Navigate to the desired file or folder within your Scramble Cloud Drive. Right-click on the item and select "Release" from the context menu.
Choose Group: Select a Scramble group. It is important that they you are already member of that group on Scramble. You can find out more about this in the “Groups” section. After clicked “Move”, the file will disappear from your drive and be moved to the group.

Sharing with Third Parties
Scramble Cloud enables you to share content securely with individuals who do not have a Scramble account:
Generate a Shareable Link: Right-click on the file or folder you wish to share and select "Get Url" or "Folder-Url" from the context menu.
Choose Link Type:
Encrypted File Link: Creates a secure link that includes an embedded encryption key, functioning similarly to a password. Only individuals with this link can access the content. You can remove the key from the link at any time using the option "Include key in URL" shown.
One-Time Link: Generates a link that can be used only once, ideal for sensitive or time-critical information.
Advanced settings: Set maximum access and expiration dates for your files.
Enable Uploads to shared folders: When sharing folders, you have the option to allow recipients to upload files directly into the shared folder. This feature facilitates secure file collection from external parties.
Security and Control
All sharing methods in Scramble Cloud are protected by end-to-end encryption, ensuring that your data remains confidential during transfer and storage. You retain complete control over your shared content, with the ability to adjust permissions or revoke access as needed.
